Hello Virtual Academy Families,

My name is Karma Duffy, and I'm incredibly honored to serve as the principal of the Virtual Academy located in the San Bernardino City Unified School District. I've been an educator of the San Bernardino school community since 2001, starting as a classroom teacher, with my last ten years dedicated to administration both at Bing Wong and Del Rosa Elementary. I truly love collaborating with our families and teachers to support the academic and social growth of our scholars.

At the Virtual Academy, we're dedicated to providing an educational experience that is both flexible and rigorous.  Scholars will not only engage synchronously with their teachers but also work independently, supported by their families. We are excited to expand our in-person opportunities for the 2025-2026 school year. During these required in-person days, our scholars will participate in collaborative activities designed to enhance both their academic skills and social well-being.
